REGGAMITE
A Reggae label - but you'd guessed
that. Reggamite was a product of Soulville Records, of
London. It managed just the one release, a single
by the Village Bunch called 'Cannon in "D" Reggay' (REMR S-001;
1976), which came with a 'version' on the 'B' side. Apparently it was a Reggaefied version of Pachelbel's famous
'Canon in 'D', which boggles the mind somewhat. Soulville was also
responsible for the equally short-lived Philadelphia Disco label (q.v.), which
had a practically identical design. Thanks to Robert
Bowes for the scan.
