ROCK HARD (2)

The second Rock
Hard label of the decade resembled the first in that it was a
self-financed effort by a Heavy Metal band, but whereas Iron Maiden went on
to bigger and better things Glory Hunter seem to have disappeared from
view. They can perhaps claim to have had the last laugh, as a copy of
their single 'Thoughts Of Destiny' b/w 'At The Crossroads' (CPS-027; 1979) went
for the sum of £1,090 when sold on ebay in March 2011. In the light of
that, you may not be surprised to see that the picture above is a
facsimile, albeit an accurate one - arguably it's better than nothing. The
CPS-000 numerical series was used by the Radio Edinburgh (q.v.) studios for
custom recordings, and can be found on records on the Burning Bing,
Bustop and Malt Mill labels (q.v. all) among others. Thanks to
Stephen Small for bringing the label to my attention.
