A Reggae label, owned by Roy Shirley. I have only been able to trace on single on the Shirley label: Roy Shirley's own 'For Every One', which had a catalogue number of SHIRLEY-1, came with a picture sleeve, and had no date on the label. Mark Griffiths, who brought the label to my attention, suggests 1978 or '79. Distribution was by Pinnacle. The label itself was white with black printing: it had a plain design, with 'SHIRLEY RECORDS', in a hollow font, in an arc at the top. The artist's name was above the spindle hole, the song title and credits below it.
