SHY TALK

A one-off label, made through Acorn Recording Studios (q.v.).  Shy Talk's only release was a maxi-single by a band called Gypp; it featured the tracks 'Marigoldz', 'Titania' and 'Sister Darling', and it came out in 1978.  Its catalogue number, CF-283, was borrowed from the main Acorn series, and the label was an Acorn one, with 'SHY TALK RECORDS' at the bottom.  Thanks to Nicholas Hough for the scan, which has been heavily doctored to eliminate pen marks but remains accurate as far as I can tell.  I'm left wondering whether 'Shy Talk' was a play on the Irish expression 'Shitehawk' - I wouldn't bet against it.
