SILVER DANCER

A DIY label, apparently a one-off.  A single by Larry Whitehurst, 'Living Dolls' b/w 'Diamond Jim', seems to have been Silver Dancer's only release.  It was made through custom recording firm Lyntone, and its catalogue / matrix numbers, LYN-5788 / 5789, are taken from Lyntone's own series.  Whitehurst scored a success playing the role of Dr. Frank 'n' Furter in the stage version of 'The Rocky Horror Show' in the '70s.  He wrote both sides of the single.  'Living Dolls' is a slice of revivalist Rock 'n' Roll with faint Glam overtones, while 'Diamond Jim' sounds like it belongs in a show.
