SKANOPHONE
The label of London-based firm S. K. Anim & Sons.
Skanophone put out three seven-inch records and a handful of LPs in the second
half of the '70s, all of which featured Ghanaian bands. There don't seem
to be many of them about, and they all are fairly collectable. Manufacture of
two of the seven-inchers was by Orlake, while Lyntone pressed the third.
SR-002 had a label of the same design as the one shown above but with printing
in olive green; SREP-003, a four-track EP by E.K.'s Professional Band, had a
mid-blue label with silver printing and a different layout.
