Apparently a one-off DIY label. Survivor's 'Pastiche' EP (SSM-1; 1978) seems to have been Southern Songs' only release. As well as the title track it featured the songs 'Doing Alright' and 'The Artful Dodger'; the tracks have been variously described as Power Pop and a mixture of New Wave and NWOBHM.
