SPICE (1977)

A DIY concern, and the first of two Spice labels from the '70s, both of them equally ephemeral.  This particular Spice appears to have been the vehicle for recordings by a Club / Cabaret band of that name.  It seems to have issued just the one record: an EP containing the tracks 'Under The Moon Of Love', 'Living Next Door To Alice', 'When I Need You', and 'Love The One You're With'.  Each side had its own catalogue number, the 'A' being SP-001 and the 'B' SP-002; the 'smooth outer ring, rough inner ring' of the label suggests an Orlake pressing.  Thanks to Barry Adcock for bringing this Spice to my attention and for providing the scan.
