A Swiss label. Splendid was moderately prolific in its own country but it seems to have issued just the one record over here: 'Warmaker' by Hard Rock band After Shave (SPS-401; 1973). The band had an earlier single ('Sweet Home', SPS-4014) and an album ('Skin Deep') out on Splendid in their native Switzerland, as well as 'Warmaker' (which was numbered SPS-4027); over there the label was black with silver printing. All of those records are collectable. Thanks to Robert Bowes for bringing the label to my attention, and to Nicholas Hough for supplying the scan. The single has the look of an Orlake pressing.
