A short-lived division of Stiff Records, reportedly aimed at breaking new acts by offering their records at a lower price. 1 Off started out in February 1978, with the Subs', 'Gimme Your Heart' b/w 'Party Clothes' (OFF-1) and seems to have managed just four releases. Manufacture and distribution were by EMI, whose Licensed Repertoire Division was responsible for the marketing. Thanks to Simon Hughes for the scan.
