A DIY Punk label. Surgery appears to have been owned by Punk band The Surgeons, from Harrow. Its sole release was that band's, 'Sid Never Did It' (S-100), which came out in 1979. The label was one of those minimum-cost plain white ones, upon which the credits were hand-stamped, as shown by the scan which Steve Hill has kindly provided. However, a couple of examples of more ambitious, printed, labels, were sent to Paul Winsall with his copy of single, which suggests that at one time the band had more ambitious plans. Thanks to him for sending scans of those labels and of the covering letter. I have given them a black surround for the sake of clarity.
