TI appears to have been a small independent / DIY label from the early / mid '70s. The only record that I have ever seen on the label is the one shown above, 'Since You're Gone' b/w 'Pallat Woman' by the Tropic Isles Steel Band, which came out in 1975. The catalogue number, TI-012, suggests that there should be other TI records out there, but googling doesn't show any trace of them and they may not exist. The matrix numbers are a simple '1 A' and '1 B'. Presumably the label was named after the first two initials of the band's name. Arranger Bob Parris is a director / teacher of steel bands and may have been the driving force behind the record. Thanks to Dr. Doom of the 45cat site for bringing TI to my attention.
